Why not C# as the core?¶
Godot 4 cannot export C# projects to HTML5. This library uses Rust + GDExtension so the same fairness stack can target desktop and web for free multiplayer builds. C# games can still call the GDExtension from GDScript or via the same native class if desired; there is no separate C# reimplementation.
Godot version floor¶
- Minimum: Godot 4.4+ (
compatibility_minimumin the.gdextensionfile is 4.3; develop against 4.4+) - CI / smoke: Godot 4.7.1
